Project plan leading to the second report

This project plan sets out Phase 2 of the Waiheke Marine Project (WMP), an initiative that is increasingly being hailed as “a world-leading model of an urban island co-managing its land and sea in unison, led by and partnered with indigenous peoples of place. 1 .”

Inaugural Report 2021

Project plan leading to the first report

The Marine Project was structured to have 3 streams of work (or working groups). These streams will tell the story of the project, share information and organise all that is necessary until we arrive at the ocean of Marine regeneration.

Mana Whenua

Ngāti Paoa are championing this space, making sure that the Mātauranga Māori voice is strong and that the Marine project is a truly co-managed project.

Future Search

The Future Search planning group is focused on bringing together the Future Search event in Spring 2020, organising the invitation of participants and ensuring the full spectrum of voices are participating.
