Te Ngahere o te Moana/Kelp forest at Enclosure Bay.

WMP was successful amongst 800 applications to access the support of Ma Earth to help raise the funds needed.

Since 2018 manawhenua and community have been learning and utilising Mātauranga Māori and Western Science, to understand and weave together the action of kaitiaki to manaaki/care for our moana. With the holistic removal of our kina, we share these with our communities and educate the importance of composting the shells as natural fertiliser and sharing the kina as kai. With rimurimu recovery being observed and biodiversity regeneration apparent, it's time to expand the initial test area and we need your help to make it happen.
