Ngahere o te Moana - monitor our kelp forest within Enclosure Bay to maintain the balance of our ecosystem (an opportunity to holistically harvest kina for whānau)

Date: Saturday 21st February 2026

Location: Enclosure Bay

Time: 8am - 4pm (day long event and this tiime includes ferry travel from Auckland)

Limited spaces - This event is open to Ngāti Pāoa and is limited to 40 people (with 20 spots available for the guided snorkel). To register click here.

Included: Ferry tickets - if coming from Auckland, transport to and from Matiatia, lunch will be provided. Any dietary requirements, please note on the registration form.

Activities: Guided snorkeling to the Kelp Gardens to harvest kina (20 places total), Kayaks to explore Enclosure bay and a WMP wānanga.
